These are pictures from our first day on the Negev Desert. The deer-like animals are called Ibex and they are everywhere! There is no hunting in Israel so the Ibex are not afraid of humans. The desert area is where Moses sent the spies from to check out the Promised Land. When you see how desolate it is, you can understand why the people doubted him! At that point it did not look like a place flowing with milk and honey!
